Departmental Overview

The Institute of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, one of the first departments at Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, has advanced significantly since its founding in 2014. The Institute of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering uses a variety of CQI techniques to ensure that its graduates are capable engineers who can thrive in a global marketplace.

Our undergraduate and graduate research programs, as well as the many faculty and student-led groups studying topics like robotics, alternative fuels, renewable energy, electric vehicles, and many more, provide students with a wide range of exciting opportunities for research and extracurricular engagement.

  • PEC accredited BS Mechanical Engineering program.
  • The mechanical engineering labs are state-of-the-art, accommodating a wide variety of experimental procedures, design projects, and production processes, all of which make heavy use of computers and up-to-date software.   • Outcome-Based Education (OBE) has been implemented in all Faculties of Engineering, in accordance with the directives of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). This is also one of the requirements for us to become a full member of the Washington Accord, an international agreement to mutually recognize Bachelor degrees in engineering.
