Department of Law

Introduction

The Department of Law was established in 2019 in Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information technology Rahim Yar Khan and has showed a tremendous outcome in a very short time. LLB program of department attained the accreditation status in year 2022 under the kind leadership of Prof Dr M Suleman Tahir. The degree courses, which were offered, have been adopted from the approved curriculum of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for LL. B (5 Year Program) 10 Semester. Sixty-Five (65) students were enrolled in the very first batch. The Department of law is maintaining a library other than the central library with almost Five Thousand Books; law report, journals, reviews, and other material representing the various legal systems of different countries are available and have sufficient books to provide information about various courses.

VISION

Providing quality legal education: The department aims to provide a high-quality legal education that equips students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become successful lawyers, judges, legal scholars, and advocates. Fostering critical thinking and analytical skills, the department may also aim to foster critical thinking and analytical skills among its students, enabling them to understand and analyze complex legal issues and develop innovative legal solutions. Promoting justice and the rule of law, Department of Law is to promote justice and the rule of law by producing graduates who are committed to upholding these principles in their professional careers. Advancing legal research, the department may also aim to advance legal research by conducting innovative research that contributes to the development of legal theory and practice. Engaging with the community Finally, the department may seek to engage with the community by offering legal clinics, pro bono legal services, and other programs that provide legal assistance to underserved populations and promote access to justice.
