Seminar on Policy Engagement for a Legislative Ban on PHOs at KFUEIT

The Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST), KFUEIT successfully hosted an insightful seminar titled “Policy Engagement for a Legislative Ban on Partially Hydrogenated Oils (PHOs)” under the TRANSFORM Pakistan Campaign, in collaboration with Pakistan Youth Change Advocates (PYCA).

The event brought together experts, policymakers, food authorities, public health professionals, youth advocates and IFST students to discuss Pakistan’s path toward eliminating harmful PHOs in line with WHO global guidelines. Participants emphasized the critical role of academia in policy advocacy and promoting a healthier national food environment.
