KFUEIT Champions Global Scholarships: Seminar Highlights Erasmus Mundus as a Top Opportunity for Pakistani Students
RAHIM YAR KHAN, PUNJAB – November 4, 2025 – Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT) successfully hosted a crucial awareness seminar on the Erasmus Mundus Master Scholarship Program 2026-28, aimed at preparing final-year undergraduate students for this prestigious international opportunity.
The seminar was jointly organized by the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), in collaboration with the Directorate of Career Counseling and the Directorate of Academics.
The keynote speaker for the event was Engr. Dr. M. Saif Ur Rehman, Director ORIC, himself a distinguished Erasmus Mundus Alumni. Dr. Rehman addressed students from the 6th to 8th semesters, providing a comprehensive overview of the scholarship's immense importance, detailed structure, admission procedure, and necessary documentation.
Pakistan's Edge in Global Competition
Dr. Rehman highlighted the exceptional competitiveness of KFUEIT students and their peers across the nation, stating that the Erasmus Mundus Master Scholarship is one of the most exciting and prestigious opportunities available.
“The most significant point for our students is that for the last two consecutive years, Pakistani students have secured the maximum number of these fully-funded scholarships globally, surpassing formidable competitors like India and China,” stated Dr. Rehman. “This performance underscores the high academic potential and dedication present in our youth, and KFUEIT is committed to ensuring our students seize these opportunities.”
Strategic Preparation is Key to Success
During the session, Dr. Rehman strongly emphasized the necessity of strategic, long-term preparation. He advised undergraduates to commence their scholarship preparations at least one year before the application deadline to meet all stringent eligibility criteria.
Key areas of focus highlighted for maximizing application success included:
Achieving competitive scores in English language proficiency requirements.
Thoroughly researching and understanding their programs of interest and mobility pathways.
Defining clear future goals.
Dr. Rehman particularly stressed the critical role of the Letter of Motivation, advising students that it must meticulously establish a strong, clear correlation between their current field of study, skills gained, practical experience (including publications or industrial internships), and their proposed future career objectives.
The seminar concluded with a highly interactive question-and-answer session, reinforcing KFUEIT's commitment to fostering a culture of global academic ambition and excellence among its student body.
