chief minister punjab mian muhammad shahbaz sharif inaugurated the six academic blocks of khwaja fareed university of engineering & information technology on saturday 5, 2018 along with a member of political dignitaries of the treasury benches were also present at this moment. the chief minister, after the inaugural ceremony, visited the university library, laboratories, classrooms and also interacted with the teachers and the students. he took feedback from them and expressed his pleasures that teachers of kfueit are imparting quality of education in kfueit. after this, he joined a huge  crowed along with vice chancellor prof. engr. dr. athar mahboob, dean of all faculties prof. dr engr. muhammad munir ahmed, senator mushahid hussain syed, ch. muhammad munir hidayat ullah, former senator jaffar iqbal gujjar, higher education minister syed raza ali gillani, sardar arshad khan laghari (minister of  state), distt. chairman azhar laghari, ministers of national and provincial assemblies mian imtiaz ahmad, muhammad omar jaffar, maiza hameed gujjar, mahmood ul hassan cheema where teaching and non-teaching faculties, students and their parents welcomed chief minister with open arms. addressing to the general public, university staff and students, the chief minister said that muslim league n has accomplished huge projects for the people of southern punjab and in this regard, quaid-e-azam solar park and khwaja fareed university are leading among them. he further vowed that six more buses would be given to cover up the increasing need of transportation of the university students. he particularly acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the vice chancellor prof. engr. dr. athar mahboob and university team for the successful completion of this university. he announced that entire university to be made air-conditioned at priority basis.
