SEMINAR ON ADVANCED FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS

The Department of Physics in collaboration with KFUEIT Research & Innovation Society, QEC and ORIC Department, has organised an International Seminar on "Advanced Functional Materials". Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof.
Dr. Muhammad Suleman Tahir was the chief guest of the seminar.
Dr. Khurram Saleem Joya, invited speaker from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia gave a very informative and valuable talk. His talk was mainly focused on Water Splitting, Catalysis and Novel functional Materials for Energy Applications. Dr. Joya addressed the young researchers and explained about the importance of research, benefits of using Nanotechnology at industrial scale and available resources and potential in Pakistan.
A large number of faculty members, researchers and students from different departments actively participated in the Seminar. Honorable Vice Chancellor stated about the importance of research for the progress of the world and service of society.
At the end of seminar, he appreciated the efforts of the organisers and presented a shield to the guest speaker. Participants found the seminar extremely motivated and they had detailed discussions with the guest speaker. The guest speaker desired to have future collaboration with the Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology Rahim Yar Khan.
