PEC Re-Accreditation Teams Visit to Khwaja Fareed UEIT, Rahim Yar Khan

Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) conducted a two-day re-accreditation visit to Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT), Rahim Yar Khan, for the evaluation of five undergraduate engineering programs, including:
BS Electrical Engineering
BS Mechanical Engineering
BS Civil Engineering
BS Computer Engineering
BS Agricultural Engineering
Two PEC evaluation teams participated in the visit, led by:

KFUEIT RYK Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Amir Azam Khan formally welcomed the PEC teams along with university academic and administrative heads. He briefed them on KFUEIT’s ongoing academic initiatives, quality enhancement measures, and commitment to strengthening engineering education.
During the visit, the PEC teams carried out a comprehensive review of program files, laboratories, and academic infrastructure. The evaluation focused on the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) system in alignment with international standards set under the Washington Accord.
The PEC teams interacted with faculty members, department heads, and administrative officials to review academic processes and quality assurance mechanisms. Senior university officials who facilitated the visit included Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahzad Murtaza, Dean Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sagir, Registrar Engr. Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Saleem Ullah, Controller of Examinations Prof. Dr. Kashif Munir, Director ORIC Engr. Dr. Saif ur Rehman, and representatives of QEC, IT, and all relevant departments.
Heads of the evaluated programs—Engr.Prof.Badar ul Islam (Computer),Engr. Dr. Shahid Atiq (Electrical), Engr. Dr. Umer Farooq (Mechanical), Engr. Dr. Naveed Anjum (Civil), Engr. Dr. Ahmed Sohaib (Computer), and Engr. Dr. Yasir Niaz (Agricultural Engineering)—also presented departmental achievements, curriculum improvements, and future plans during the review meetings.
The two-day visit concluded with positive engagement between the PEC teams and KFUEIT leadership. The university reaffirmed its commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to international accreditation standards, ensuring that its graduates remain competent, globally competitive, and industry-ready.
At the closing session, Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Amir Azam Khan presented tokens of love and KFUEIT souvenirs to the PEC delegation as a gesture of appreciation and goodwill. The visit concluded on a positive note, strengthening cooperation between PEC and KFUEIT while reaffirming the university’s commitment to quality enhancement and global engineering education standards.
