One Day Seminar on “Better Cotton Production” organized by Fatima Fertilizer Company

one day seminar on “better cotton production” was organized by fatima fertilizer company on 4 may 2019. the seminar was chaired by engr. dr. yasir niaz (hod agricultural engineering department), muhammad khalid (to, ffc) and ahmad majid (tso, ffc). engr. dr. yasir niaz gave the introduction of the kfueit and presented the mission and vision of the department of agricultural engineering. he encourages farmers to use advanced technology for better cotton production. he introduced the ongoing research at the water management and agricultural mechanization research station (wamrs), kfueit to get better crop production. he further described the kfueit outreach initiative for the transfer of technology and management techniques to the farmers.  dr. muhammad adnan bodlah presented the integrated pest management options for better cotton production. engr. dr. muhammad mohsin waqas described the water management options for enhanced water productivity and described the fertigation efficiency under different irrigation practices.  the other participants from the kfueit outreach initiatives were engr. dr. shanawar hamid, dr. farhan jehangir chugtai and dr. adnan bajwah. the aforementioned members were available for the “question answer session” to address the farmer problems on the cotton crop production.
