KFUEIT Launches "Secure Gate: Etag based Vehicle Management System"
Rahim Yar Khan, [Date] — Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT), Rahim Yar Khan, has inaugurated its in-house developed Secure Gate System for vehicle management.
The system was formally inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Amir Azam Khan, Vice Chancellor KFUEIT, accompanied by Dr. Ahmad Sohaib, Chief Security Officer Dr. Adnan Bajwa, Deputy Director IT & MS Computer Engineering Scholar Muhammad Ismaeel.
This innovative project was successfully developed and installed through the dedicated efforts of Chief Security Officer Dr. Adnan Khaliq, Project Manager Muhammad Umair, and Senior Hardware System Specialist Muhammad Ismaeel.
The newly introduced system stands apart from traditional mechanisms as it is cloud-based, centralized, and capable of keeping long-term data storage, ensuring higher efficiency, reliability, and enhanced security.
Under this system, access control of all vehicles will be shifted to e-tags technology. Visitors and parents of students will also be provided with the option to obtain e-tags at the university gates. This innovation will ensure that teaching and research services continue without disruption, while further strengthening the overall security environment of the campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Amir Azam Khan appreciated the entire project team for their timely development and installation of the Secure Gate System. He emphasized that KFUEIT remains fully committed to ensuring the safety and security of its students, faculty members, administrative officers, and everyone within the university premises.
With this initiative, KFUEIT continues to move forward in line with its mission of utilizing research and innovation to benefit other institutions and the wider community.
