KFUEIT IR Society Summit: Diplomacy for Peace in Syria

IR Society KFUEIT Hosts an Enlightening Summit on the Topic: "Addressing the escalating risks of proxy conflicts in the Middle Eastern Syrian Crisis through Diplomatic Efforts and International Cooperation to promote Peace and Stability in the region"

The KFUEIT International Relations Society organized an engaging Summit on the theme of Model United Nations focused on Addressing the escalating risks of proxy conflicts in the Middle Eastern Syrian Crisis through Diplomatic Efforts and International Cooperation promoting Peace and Stability in the region. A peaceful Syria will ultimately bring a peaceful Middle East and a door towards a peaceful world.

The event aimed to foster the problem solving abilities among students and improve their understanding of the international scenarios and crisis going on in the world. Through insightful speeches and panel discussions students passionately expressed the perspectives of their states on the ongoing Syrian crisis. As representatives of their states the participants tried to avoid personal opinions and gave their state's stance. The Summit provided an opportunity for the students to delve deep into the issue and give possible solutions regarding the Syrian Crisis. It encouraged participants to widen their perspective and handle the disagreements gracefully. The Summit concluded with the resolution in favour of withdrawal of external forces from the Syrian territory.

Mr. Ehsan Ali, Society Advisor, appreciated and thanked the participants for their active engagement. IHA faculty members including Dr. Shahid Habib, Mr. Waheed Shahzad, Dr. Shazia Andleeb, Mr. Haris Kabir, Mr. Fazzal Abbas, Ms. Noor ul Ain, Mr. Akash Arshad and Mr. Haseeb Hassan honoured the occasion with their presence.
