World Cotton Day Celebrated at KFUEIT

On 07-10-2025, The Department of Agricultural Engineering at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT) celebrated World Cotton Day in collaboration with WWF Pakistan and Artistic Milliners. The event highlighted the significance of “White Gold” — cotton — and emphasized its vital role in Pakistan’s agriculture and economy.

The ceremony was attended by members of the farming community, representatives of the agriculture department, and other key stakeholders. Faculty members delivered insightful presentations on sustainable cotton cultivation and shared key strategies to promote cotton farming in the region.

Head of Department Dr. Yasir Niaz, Dr. Ashraf, along with a large number of faculty members and students, actively participated in the event. The participants reaffirmed their commitment to advancing research and innovation in cotton production for a sustainable agricultural future.
