As an Associate Dean Faculty of Biological, Health Sciences & Technology (FBHST), I am delighted to welcome and introduce you to the faculty. The FBHST is composed of two institutes: the Institute of Health Sciences and the Institute of Biological Sciences.
The Institute of Biological Sciences, formerly the Department of Biosciences established in 2019, aims to provide cutting-edge research and educational opportunities in the field of Applied Biological Sciences. Elevated to institute status in 2022, it is committed to fostering successful researchers in areas such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Forensic Sciences, Bioinformatics, and Microbiology. Our innovative approach equips students with a deep understanding of living systems through advanced molecular, biochemical, biotechnological, and computational methodologies.
Similarly, the Institute of Health Sciences was established in 2019. The institute attained its current status on March 4, 2022, and offers Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in Medical Imaging Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Optometry, Clinical Psychology, Orthotics & Prosthetics, Aesthetics & Cosmetological Sciences, Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Healthcare Management.
Together, these institutes represent a commitment to excellence in education and research, preparing our students for impactful careers in their respective fields.
