Ethics: in the Light of Islamic Teaching
Former Test Cricketer and Coach Mushtaq Ahmad have said that being Muslims we need to reshape our lives in accordance with the golden principles of Islam. We have a complete code of life and we have to spend our lives as per the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his way of spending life. Mushtaq Ahmad and Naeem Butt visited Khawja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT) and addressed a seminar on “Ethics: in the Light of Islamic Teaching”.
While addressing the students and staff of the University, Mushtaq Ahmad said that Allah becomes happy when we serve His people trapped in woes and worries. According to him, the real peace of mind and heart lies in extending ‘services’ to mankind. Inzamam said that Allah’s happiness lies in fulfilling the ‘Rights of the People’ so we can make our God happy and earn eternal life through serving the people. “I have traveled several countries, visited numerous places, earned fame and money from playing cricket, but let me say frankly, the peace of mind lies in public service,” he added. Mushtaq further said that he was also glad to see the meritorious services of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suleman Tahir who is organizing the first International Conference to promote the Sufism and philosophy of Sufi Saint Khwaja Ghulam Fareed. According to him, only such professors are required by the country who can shine and prepare the students for this life and the life to come.
Mushtaq Ahmad further said that Allah awards a special moment to everyone once or twice in a life. There was such a moment, which changed his life and he became a practicing Muslim, Mushtaq added. According to him, he was feeling honored to see the enthusiasm and passion among the students of Khawaja Fareed University. He stressed upon them to start reading books on Islam, history, and Islamic learning besides course books. While endorsing Mushtaq Ahmad, other speakers also said that Islam is a complete code of life and we have to adopt this code in true letter and spirit. Our beloved Prophet (PBUH) has shown us a light of truth and we have to follow it. They said that by serving the people, we can not only achieve eternal peace of mind, but we can make Allah happy with us. We have to respect humanity and serve people.
