Empowering Students for a Corruption-Free Future: NAB's Integrity Session at KFUEIT
The Character Building Society (CBS) at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT) hosted a training session led by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to foster integrity, accountability, and transparency among students. The event aimed to educate students on anti-corruption practices and ethical conduct as part of a larger initiative for character development.
Key speakers included Mahar Kashif Raza, Deputy Director of NAB Multan, and Kamran Ali Jhanvri, Assistant Director, who provided valuable insights on NAB’s anti-corruption mission. Raza spoke on NAB’s initiatives to combat corruption, encouraging students to contribute to a corruption-free Pakistan, while Jhanvri shared real-life case studies illustrating the societal impact of corruption and the importance of personal integrity.
Dr. Aslam Khan, Director of Student Affairs, opened the session by highlighting CBS’s role in promoting ethical conduct among students. Dr. Majid Rashid, Coordinator of CBS, and Mr. Waheed Shahzad, Co-Advisor, appreciated NAB’s efforts in reinforcing character development and encouraged students to carry these lessons forward. Dr. Anwar Farooq, Director of the Institute of Humanities and Arts, concluded with remarks on ethical leadership, urging students to embody the values of accountability and transparency.
The session also included a lively Q&A, where students explored the role of NAB, the legal framework against corruption, and the importance of whistleblowing.
