College Teacher’s Training Workshop, 2021
The directorate of affiliation arranged a two day training workshop from 28th January 2021 under the faculty development program. The workshop was arranged for affiliated colleges as well as for teaching assistants of all departments in the University. In the first session vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suleman Tahir was the chief guest and dean of all faculties Prof. Dr. Asghar Hashmi was the guest of honor. Dr. Bashir Gondal, Dr. Jam Zafar, director academics Dr. Shamsa Kanwal, controller exam Dr. Shahid Atiq, Dr. Umer Farooq and associate dean Dr. Salimullah participated as a master trainer. The trainers provided training about teaching & learning skills in higher education, semester rules, exam grading rules, tools for assessment, quality education, feedback system in teachings.
In September 2020, Khwaja Fareed University provided affiliation to seven government/private colleges for ADP and BS degree programs. Total 67 members including focal persons, faculty members of affiliated colleges and teaching assistants from all academic departments of the university participated in the training workshop. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Asghar Hashmi highlighted the importance of the training workshop. Vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Suleman Tahir appreciated the efforts of the organizers and hoped that it will result in an improvement in the quality of education in affiliated colleges. Quality education is the priority of KFUEIT. It is impossible to provide quality education without highly qualified and trained faculty. Conduction of such training workshops on a regular basis is the need of time. All associate deans, assistant deans and heads of departments were present there.
On the second day 29th January 2021 Prof. Dr. Aslam Adeeb, Mr. Bilal Ahmad IT Specialist, and Mr. Sajjad Aslam LMS Administrator participated as a master trainer. The trainers provided training about teaching and learning in higher education, learning management system, CBA, and use of ICT in teaching. The chief guest of the closing ceremony was the dean of all faculties Prof. Dr. Asghar Hashmi. In his speech, he appreciated the efforts of organizers and congratulated all the participants on the successful completion of training and hoped that it will bring a constructive change in the teaching environment of all affiliated colleges. According to him, conduction of such training workshops on a regular basis is the need of time. In the closing ceremony, the chief guest gave certificates to all participants. All associate deans, assistant deans and heads of departments were present there.
