Collaboration Between KFUEIT and UUM
a delegation of university of utara malaysia (uum) visited kfueit in 1st week of aug 2018. headed by their director executive education and professional development (dr hisham dzakiria), the delegation of board members included dr manvender kuar (coordinator to post graduate international students) and dr. mohan rathakrishnan (member uom committee). the objective of this visit was to explore areas of mutual cooperation between uum and kfueit. during their visit, the uum team visited different academic blocks of university, laboratories and libraries and met with hods of all departments. the team also met with vice chancellor and senior dean of all faculties and exchanged areas of bilateral interests between both universities. later the uum team gave introductory presentation of uum to all faculty members and answered their questions during an interactive session. the uum team was highly impressed with infrastructure of kfueit and the vision of management to take this university to next level with minimum possible time. they expressed great interest in future collaborations with university.
a letter of intent (loi) was then signed between kfueit and mou for exchange of multiple development programs between both universities. this letter of intent is a major development towards the mou of both universities. it covers following areas:
- research collaboration
- organization of international seminars and conferences
- teacher and student mobility program
- semester exchange programs
- teaching and professional development programs
