Capacity Building Program for University Management Begins at KFUEIT

A five-day Capacity Building Program for University Management has commenced at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT), Rahim Yar Khan. Organized in collaboration with the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the program aims to enhance the professional skills of university management and foster institutional growth.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Pro Vice-Chancellor of KFUEIT, Prof. Dr. Shahzad Murtaza, who welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of such training sessions in improving organizational efficiency and individual capacities. Ms. Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director of NAHE, HEC, addressed the event online and highlighted the significance of professional capacity building for institutional excellence.

The program features renowned trainers, including Mr. Sikandar Ali Syed, Assistant Professor at IBA Sukkur; Dr. Syed Muhammad Javed Iqbal, Associate Professor at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur; Dr. Aqsa Shabbir, Associate Professor at Lahore College for Women University; and Mr. Muhammad Shahid, former Joint Chief Economist at the Planning Commission, Islamabad.

The opening session included workshops on key topics such as Interpersonal Adaptability and Innovation, Personal Effectiveness and Resilience, Effective Management and Workplace Practices, Team Dynamics, Compliance, and Legal Frameworks. These sessions were led by Mr. Sikandar Ali Syed, who delivered insightful presentations and conducted practical exercises. He highlighted the importance of adaptability and innovation, stating, “The ability to embrace new ideas and navigate challenges effectively is essential for professional growth and organizational success.”

The training aims to equip participants with the skills to manage resources efficiently, adopt best practices in the workplace, and develop creative solutions to complex problems. The sessions also focused on fostering teamwork and ensuring compliance with legal frameworks to strengthen institutional standards.

The event was further enriched by the presence of Prof. Dr. Mahmood-ul-Hassan, Vice-Chancellor of Shikarpur University, as the Guest of Honor. Distinguished attendees included Dr. Muhammad Sagir, Dean of All Faculties; Dr. Muhammad Bilal Tahir, Program Coordinator and Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell; and prominent faculty members such as Dr. Shahid Atiq, Dr. Badar-ul-Salam, Dr. Ahmed Sohaib, Dr. Tariq, Dr. Jallat Khan, Dr. Mustafa Kamal, Dr. Yasir Niaz, Dr. Aslam Khan, Dr. Muhammad Anwar Farooq, and Dr. Majid Rashid. Several administrative officials also participated actively, reflecting the university's commitment to comprehensive professional development.

The program is expected to not only enhance the individual capabilities of participants but also improve the overall performance and standards of KFUEIT, paving the way for the university’s continued growth and success.
