Introduction and Overview

Established in 2017, Computer Engineering Department (CPED) at KFUEIT enjoys newly purpose built infra-structure, with faculty offices, teaching rooms, lecture theatres and laboratories. The department has well experienced teaching staff from diverse backgrounds.

Vision & Mission

To become a globally recognized Computer Engineering Department that will have an overwhelming impact on society through continual innovation in education, research, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

The Department mission is the discovery, dissemination and application of knowledge. It offers degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels and pursues a broad agenda of research and creative activities. It aims to shape the future by:

Civil engineering is an equal opportunity field both for the males and females Engineers. From planning and design offices to field office jobs, Civil engineers are required in large numbers. The demand of Civil engineering professionals is increasing day by day both in Pakistan as well as in gulf countries. Recently because of the huge infrastructure development project. Civil engineers Career in Civil Engineering is very promising and high rewarding in Pakistan as well as abroad. The field of Civil engineering covers a vast area of expertise including planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance in public as well as in private sector. After the completion of graduation, a Civil Engineer has multiple options to choose a career that fits best for him.

Currently the development projects in Pakistan demands a huge number of fresh as well as experienced Civil engineers for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other mega projects including hydropower projects. Several public-sector departments have serving opportunities for Civil Engineers as like National Highway Authority (NHA), Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), Irrigation department, Public Health Engineering, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA),

Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Capital Development Authority (CDA), Communication and Works Department (C&W), Punjab Industrial Estates (PIE) and Pakistan Railways. In semi government and private sector there is a long list of national and multinational companies and consultancy firms as like National engineering services NESPAK, JGC-DESCON where Civil engineers are offering their services and are employed in large numbers. Currently Civil engineering is among the highly paid profession.

Eligibility

An applicant for admission to Civil Engineering Bachelor Degree Program offered by the University must fulfill the following requirements:

  • He should have obtained at least 60% marks in F. Sc./DAE examination excluding sports and Hafiz-e-Quran marks.
  • He should have appeared in Engineering College Admission Test (ECAT conducted by UET Lahore)/ KFUEIT Entry Test/HAT for that particular academic session (when conducted) in which he seeks admission.
