Research Interests

  • My research emphasis is on Food Safety and Quality for best provision of Nutritious and Wholesome Food thereby decreasing the disease burden. I have been working on Cereal Science and Technology, Baking Science and Technology, Natural Flavors, Sweeteners and Antioxidants, Food Analysis, Food Chemistry, Nutraceutical and Functional Foods, Food Encapsulation, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Processing and Preservation, Food Fortification, Meat Technology, Spices & Food Packaging.

Biography

  • I am currently working as Additional Director/ Assistant Professor, Institute of Food Science & Technology, Faculty of Food, Health Science and Technology, Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan. I have obtained my Ph.D. Food Technology from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad under HEC Indigenous Scholarship. My PhD research work was to “Characterize and analyze the effect of Stevia rebaudiana; intense natural sweetener, against diabetes and hypercholesterolemia”. I have also visited USA and worked as Visiting Scholar, Agricultural & Biological Engineering (ABE) Department, Bindley Bioscience Center, Discovery Park, Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN-USA under IRSIP scholarship by HEC-ISB. Previously, I had served as Assistant Professor in NUR International University, Lahore, as Senior Lecturer in Department of Nutritional Sciences, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Fatima Memorial Hospital, Lahore. I had also served as Research Associate, in HEC funded research project at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad for 02 years and served as teaching assistant in University of Agriculture, Faisalabad for 06 months. I had participated and arranged many National & International Conferences, Symposia, workshops, seminars, trainings and webinars.
