Engr. Dr. M. Sajjad
Lecturer
PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Khalifa University, UAE
Engr. Dr. Muhammad Sajjad joined the University as a pioneer faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in September 2014. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s degree in Thermal Power Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan.
He served as Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering during 2015–2016. In this role, he was actively involved in key administrative and academic initiatives, including the establishment of undergraduate laboratories, coordination of accreditation visits by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), and development of a revised undergraduate curriculum.
Dr. Sajjad completed his PhD from Khalifa University in 2024, with research published in leading international journals, including Nature Communications. In recognition of his research contributions, he was awarded the Elite Young Researcher Award. He was also a member of the institutional team that contributed to Khalifa University’s First Place achievement in the Muhammad Bin Rashid Global Innovation Award 2025 (Institutional Category).
