Faculty Profile

Dr. Amina Habib
Assistant Professor
PhD Microbiology

Dr. Amina Habib is an Assistant Professor of Microbiology at Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology. She holds a PhD in Microbiology from Quaid-i-Azam University, where her research focused on genomic characterization of community- and hospital-acquired carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales. Her work integrates molecular microbiology and bioinformatics tools to investigate antimicrobial resistance dissemination.

Her research expertise lies in antimicrobial resistance profiling, bacterial genomics, and whole genome sequencing–based characterization of clinically significant pathogens. She has international research training experience in France, including work at the bacteriology laboratory of Hôpital Bichat-Claude Bernard and research collaboration with Université Paris Cité.

Outside academic and research activities, she is interested in scientific writing, academic mentoring, and public health awareness related to antimicrobial resistance. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, spending time with family, and exploring educational content related to science and technology.
