Engr. Dr. Umar Fayyaz

PhD in Electrical Engineering from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan

Dr. Umar Fayyaz received his B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan, in 2015, and his M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from the same institution in 2019, where his research focused on the development of modulation techniques for multilevel transmission of an optical signal. In 2024, he obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, where his doctoral research focused on the development of Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM) antenna subsystems for next-generation wireless communication systems. Currently, Dr. Fayyaz is serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT), Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan. He has also served as a Laboratory Engineer at the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. His research interests include antenna design and electromagnetics, antenna arrays and MIMO systems, circularly polarized antennas, metasurfaces, RF and microwave engineering, millimeter-wave communication, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence based systems development in wireless communication systems.
