Biography

  • Dr. Bakhat Ali is the Assistant Professor in Chemistry in Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan having diverse background in a wide variety of organic chemistry including synthetic chemistry, methodology, Organometallic Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Supramolecular Chemistry, and Phytochemistry.
  • He was born in Mauza Wah Boher, Tehsil Jam Pur, District Rajan Pur on 05 January 1981. He completed his High School education from Government High School Muhammad Pur and Intermediate from Government Degree College Jam Pur. He graduated from Government Post Graduate Degree College Dera Ghazi Khan and completed Masters of Science in Chemistry from Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan in 2003. He has worked as analyst in different Pharmaceutical Industries in Lahore for 2.5 Years.
  • He received Scholarship in 2006-2011 to study Ph.D in Organic Chemistry under supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdul Malik at HEJ, ICCBS, University of Karachi, Karachi. During Ph. D., he got an opportunity to visit Prof. Anthony P. Davis, University of Bristol and learned multistep synthesis and inoculation of some guest molecules in terms of Supramolecular Chemistry. After Ph.D., he has worked as assistant Professor in Chemistry in University of Science and Technology, Bannu.
  • After Ph.D., he had opportunities to work on several research projects of Nanotechnology during his prestigious Post. Docs. at Instituto de Pesquisas Energeticas e Nucleares, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil in the research group of Prof. Maria Claudia franca da Cunha Felinto (IPEN) and at Faculade de Ciências Farmacêuticas, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil in the research group of Prof. Hélio Alexandre Stefani (FCF), worked one heterocyclic compounds synthesis and methodology. He has worked as Assistant Professor in Dera Ghazi Khan and currently working as assistant Professor in KFUEIT Since November 2016.
  • He is an emerging scientist, Coordinator and Member of Lab equipment procurement Committee, Departmental Coordinator of Sports and Departmental Coordinator of Science Gala.

  • CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, Brazil) scholarship for 9 months, from March2012 to November 2012.
  • SPRA (Short Term Research Attachment Program) Scholarship, funded by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and British Council (Pakistan) on merit, for UK study visit for six months, 2010.
  • Ph. D Scholarship, fully funded Ph. D scholarship at H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry University of Karachi, Pakistan, from November2006 to May2011.
