Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Kamal
Associate Professor (HoD)
PhD Analytical Chemistry, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing China

Dr. Kamal serves at the Institute of Chemistry, Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan as an Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry. He obtained his PhD degree in 2017 from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing China by availing the prestigious CAS-TWAS President’s Fellowship. After that he also worked at the Government College University Faisalabad Pakistan. He won merit scholarships during the SSC and HSSC. Research area of Dr. Kamal is mainly focused on Analytical & Bioanalytical Chemistry covering the fields of metabolomics for food chemistry, drug and disease metabolism studies, phytochemistry and environmental chemistry. He has supervised 40 MS and 02 PhD students till date. To date Dr. Kamal has published 48 journal papers with several in high impact journals earning total impact factor of ≅200. Dr. Kamal has also published 08 book chapters and organized/participated in several national and international conferences/seminars/trainings. He has also focussed his research on the valorisation of biowastes into value added products and 03 of such ideas have been filed as patents with Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO). He has completed 02 Start-up Research Grants from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan in the capacity of PI and Co-PI. He also won a research grant from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan under “National Research Program for Universities in the capacity of PI. He has been working on various important administrative positions including Head of Department, Treasurer, Additional Controller of Exams, Coordinator Board of Advanced Studies and Research, Chairperson Affiliation Committee, Director Institute of Health Sciences etc.
