Biography

  • The educational carrier of Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Waqas starts from the Village of Dera Ghazi Khan and leads to the BZU, Multan for the B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering, and after that M.Sc. and PhD Agricultural Engineering was completed from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), Pakistan. During the educational carrier the, Dr. Waqas also worked in different projects funded by DAAD, Germany, USPCAS-AFS and HEC TDF in Department of Irrigation and Drainage. Dr. Waqas also worked with the International Water Management Institutes in different projects as research consultant. Dr. Waqas was selected as “Champion of Change” for the pursuance of the research in University of California Davis, USA. Dr. Waqas was also nominated as GIS expert from the WVC of UAF as team member for “Redefining the Agroecological Zones of Punjab with the United Nations department of Food and Agriculture Organization. Dr. Waqas was selected as Assistant Agriculture Engineer in Field Wing of Punjab Agriculture Department through the Punjab Public Service Commission. Dr. Waqas also selected in KFUEIT in August, 2018 and he preferred to join academia as he inherits the teaching profession from his father Sardar Yaqeen Muhammad Sajid. His father was a teacher and writer of Punjab Text Book Board in 90s. His family also donated the land for the Govt Girls primary school in in his village.
  • Dr. Waqas is currently working as assistant professor and his research and teaching expertise are contributing to produce the skilled student in the field of Remote Seeing and GIS, Climate Change and Hydrological Modeling and Agriculture Water Management from the Department of Agricultural Engineering and Civil Engineering. Dr. Waqas is also performing the duties of CBA Coordinator, Member Departmental Graduate Committee. Dr. Waqas also contributed as member of curriculum development committee and member Board of studies for the BS/MS/PhD Agricultural Engineering, BS Food Engineering, BS Agriculture, BS/MS Energy Systems Engineering, MS/PhD Water Resources Management, MS/PhD Engineering Hydrology, MS/PhD Climate Change and MS/PhD Water Resources Engineering. He was a core team member for the conduct of Pakistan Engineering Council Zero Visit. He is also working as editor in Chief of an Emerging Journal Big Data in Agriculture under Zabeline Publisher Malaysia. He is the authors of the more than 20 research articles, 2 Book Chapters and more than 10 conference abstracts.
