Dr. Shahzad Hussain is a Lecturer and Researcher at Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, where he has been serving since September 2017 in the Institute of Computer Science. He completed his PhD in Computer Science from Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, Pakistan. He earned his MS in Computer Science from National College of Business Administration and Economics, Lahore and his Master of Computer Science (MCS) degree from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, where he achieved a Silver Medal for outstanding academic performance. His research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision and Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) systems for medical imaging. He has supervised numerous undergraduate and graduate research projects in Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Medical Imaging, IoT, Smart Agriculture, and Healthcare Systems. His research contributions include publications in internationally recognized journals, particularly in AI-driven physiotherapy systems, medical imaging, and intelligent diagnostic applications. He is proficient in Python, Django, Deep Learning frameworks, OpenCV, MONAI, and AI-based application development. In addition to teaching and research, he actively performs several academic and administrative responsibilities, including Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) coordination, student affairs management, project supervision, and sports coordination. Beyond academics, he has a strong passion for football, sports leadership, tourism, and Islamic history. He has represented football at the national level and has also served as president and manager of the university football team at KFUEIT.
