Dr. Basharat Ali
Assistant Professor (Agronomy)
Biography

  • Dr. Basharat Ali did his B. Sc (Hons) Agriculture-Agronomy and M.Sc (Hons) Agronomy from University of Agriculture Faisalabad in 2009 and 2011 respectively,  and PhD (Agronomy) from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China in 2014. His specialization includes abiotic stress tolerance, plant nutrition and plant growth regulation.
  • After his PhD, Dr. Basharat did a post doc fellowship from Zhejiang University, China during 2014-2016. Then, he did another world renowned post doc fellowship named “Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship (AvH)” from University of Bonn, Germany during 2016-2018.
  • Dr. Basharat Ali has served as Assistant Professor (IPFP) at Department of Agronomy, University of Agriculture Faisalabad from 2018-2019. In addition, he has also served as Lecturer (Visiting) at Department of Agronomy, University of Agriculture Faisalabad from 2019-2022. Now, he is working as Assistant Professor of Agronomy in the Department of Agricultural Engineering, KFUEIT-RYK since Mar-2022.

  • Best Graduate Student Award for the Research in 2013 from College of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Zhejiang University, China.
  • Featured in the list of “Top 2% Most Influential Scientists Globally During the Year 2019-2020” issued by the ancient Stanford University, USA.
