Iqra Walayat

Ms. Iqra Walayat is an emerging scholar in the field of Bioinformatics, specializing in Comparative Genomics and NGS-based Data Analysis. She completed her BS in Bioinformatics (2017) and MS in Bioinformatics (2019) from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, where she was awarded a Gold Medal for her outstanding academic performance. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD, with a major research focus on the Comparative Genomics of Plant Genomes using Bioinformatics Tools and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) Data. Her doctoral research is being conducted at the National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC).

In addition to her academic pursuits, she has gained extensive research experience through her work at the National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (NIBGE) throughout her academic career. She has also been a recipient of a Merit-Based Scholarship from the Federal Government, recognizing her academic excellence.
