Engr. Dr. Naveed Anjum, born in Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan, is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Civil Engineering. He currently serves as Assistant Professor and the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT), Rahim Yar Khan. Dr. Anjum completed his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Saitama University, Japan, where he specialized in eco-hydraulic interactions between vegetation and tsunami as well as river flows. He also holds a Master’s in Water Resources and Irrigation Engineering and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.
He worked at various renowned institutes like Research Scholar at UET Taxila, Lecturer at QCET Sahiwal, Assistant Professor at CECOS University of IT & Emerging Sciences, Peshawar, and instructor at Japanese/International organizations like Tomonokai Co., Ltd. (TCL), Global Education Project (GEP), and International Student Association (ISA). Throughout his academic and professional journey, Dr. Anjum has made substantial contributions to hydraulic engineering and water resources management. His research, particularly focused on eco-hydraulic interactions and sustainable water management practices, has earned him recognition in the international scientific community. He has authored over 30 research papers in reputable international journals and presented his work at several national and international conferences, influencing both academic thought and practical approaches to environmental sustainability and flood risk management.
Dr. Anjum’s career is marked by numerous achievements in academia and professional practice. He is recognized as one of the top 0.5% of scholars worldwide by ScholarGPS in relevant area of expertise, a testament to his exceptional expertise in his field. He has played a pivotal role in the academic development of Khwaja Fareed University, having been actively involved in curriculum design and the establishment of degree programs in Civil Engineering. His leadership as Head of the Department has led to significant improvements in the department's academic standing and research output. Additionally, he was instrumental in securing the accreditation of the Civil Engineering program by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under level-II i.e., Washington Accord.
In addition to his leadership at KFUEIT, Dr. Anjum has contributed to various professional bodies. He is registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and an active member of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE). His expertise is highly sought after, as he regularly serves as a reviewer for numerous international journals in the fields of civil engineering, water resources, and environmental engineering.
Dr. Anjum continues to drive innovation and excellence in both his research and teaching, with a particular focus on sustainable water management, hydraulic engineering, and environmental protection. His work is widely regarded for its impact on both the academic community and practical applications in water resource management and flood mitigation strategies.
