Biography

  • Dr Khalil-Ur-Rehman Wahla completed his PhD in Finance from International Islamic University, Islamabad in 2019. He also worked as visiting faculty member at the same university.
  • Prior to joining academia, he holds 12 years working experience in public sector. During this tenure, he worked on city development projects under the Public Sector Development Program of Government of Pakistan. He remained actively engaged in planning and financial management of public sector development projects, financed through Chinese Preferential Buyers Credit of Export-Import Bank of China. He acquired experience of project planning, financing, structuring, execution and closure as well as contract management. He worked in close liaison with various international development agencies, various department_id of Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and different ministries of Government of Pakistan.

Awards and Honors

  • Dr Khalil-Ur-Rehman Wahla was selected for Knowledge Co-Creation Program for Young Leaders of Pakistan held in Kagawa University, Takamatsu, Japan in 2017. The program was conducted in collaboration between Government of Pakistan and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
