Dr. Basharat Ali completed his early education in schools of District Rahim Yar Khan and earned his MSc degree in the subject of Chemistry with specialization in Analytical Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Bahawalpur, in 1997 and started teaching in private sector. He received HEC indigenous Scholarship in 2007 and got admission in M. Phil leading to PhD program in department of chemistry, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Bahawalpur and received his M.Phil and Ph.D degrees from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Saleem in 2009 and 2016 respectively. During his research projects, he worked in Department of Chemistry, IUB, Bahawalpur, H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry, Karachi and School of Chemical Sciences, University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand. His research work includes isolation of biologically active natural products and their synthesis. After completion of PhD in Chemistry, he worked as assistant Professor in Institute of Chemical Sciences, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan on IPFP basis. At present Dr. Basharat Ali is serving as assistant Professor in Department of Chemistry, Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, Rahim Yak Khan.
