Biography

Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Kamal is currently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry, Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KF-UEIT), Rahim Yar Khan. He has additional charge of Head, Graduate Programs, Department of Chemistry. He also worked as Assistant Professor in Department of Chemistry, Government College University, Faisalabad. He completed his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from National Center for Magnetic Resonance in Wuhan China of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing, China. He worked in domains of Food chemistry during his doctoral study focusing mainly on NMR and MS based metabolomics for the quality control and authentication of Chinese sauces. He has also worked in the field of disease and drug metabolomics. A number of publications are on his credit in reputed international journals. He has completed one HEC funded research project in the capacity of Principal Investigator emphasizing on metabolite profiling and bioactivities of citrus species from different regions of Punjab, Pakistan. He is contributing as Co-PI in 03 research projects. He has participated in a number of national & international conferences and workshops. His areas of expertise include chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques, NMR and MS based metabolomics for studies of food quality, nutrition and disease metabolomics.

  • Won 2013 CAS-TWAS President’s Fellowship Award for PhD studies at UCAS, Beijing China.
  • Won Merit scholarships from Government of Punjab, Pakistan during high school, F. Sc. and B. Sc.
  • Best oral presentation award in Beijing Conference & Exhibition in Instrumental Analysis (BCEIA), Beijing 27-30 October, 2015
