Engr. Muhmmad Tahir Fazal did his Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Lahore Campus, Pakistan. After completing his B.Sc. Chemical Engineering, he worked as a Trainee Engineer at Packages Limited Lahore, Pakistan. He did his M.Sc. Chemical Engineering from the Department of Chemical Engineering, COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore Campus, Pakistan. The title of his Master Thesis was “The Development of Bio-Electrochemical (BES) System for Biogas Synthesis Using Chicken Droppings’’. He has already published one research article in peer reviewed journal (FUEL) on the basis of his Master’s Thesis work. He has also awarded with the prize on his MS thesis based-research proposal by Directorate General Monitoring & Evaluation, Planning & Development Department, and Government of the Punjab.
He currently enrolled in Doctorate of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering at CUI, Lahore Campus, Pakistan. He has worked as Research Assistant on various projects in COMSATS. He also established a Biorefinery Engineering and Microfluidic (BEAM) Research Lab at the Department of Chemical Engineering, CUI Lahore Campus. He is carrying out his Ph.D. on the title of “Bioremediation of Textile Wastewater Employing Macroalgae Biosorption and Microalgae Cultivation’’ at the Biorefinery Engineering and Microfluidic (BEAM) Research Group. During his Ph.D. the projects on “Macroalgae and Coal-based Biochar as Bioresource for Treatment of Industrial Wastewater’’ and “Integrating Adsorption and Photocatalysis: A cost effective Strategy for Textile Wastewater Treatment using Hybrid Biochar-TiO2 Composite” were completed in BEAM Lab, CUI Lahore Campus, Pakistan. He has also assisted research works on the “Synthesis of Biodiesel from various Feedstock’s such as Oleic acid, Jatropha seeds, Chicken Fats” and published one research article in peer reviewed journal. He has also presented his Ph.D. research work at different International Conferences i.e. "Modern Trends in Chemistry and Energy Technologies (MTC&ET 2018), Pakistan, 1st International Conference on Water Resources and Sustainability (ICWRS 2018), China, and 2nd International Conference of Energy System for Sustainable Developments (ESSD 2018), Pakistan. Prestigious NRPU Project (4547) of HEC, Pakistan, funded these participations.
Engr. Muhammad Tahir Fazal joined the Department of Chemical Engineering, Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT) Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan in September 2019 as a Lecturer Environmental Engineering. Since Fall 2019 semester, he is actively involved in the teaching and research at various academic department_id of KFUEIT, Rahim Yar Khan.
