Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan
Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmad Zafar has joined Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology (KFUEIT), Rahim Yar Khan. He received his M.Sc. (Math. in 1991), M. Phil (Math. in 1993), and MS (Nuclear Engineering in 1994) from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He earned his PhD degree in computer science from Kyushu University, Japan in 2004. He has a distinguished academic record throughout his career. For example, he secured first position in B.Sc. & M.Sc. and second position in M.Phil.
His research interest includes modelling and verification of computer systems using integration of semiformal and formal approaches. He has published more than 140 research articles in which many are ISI and impact factors publications. He has contributed for more than 10 research and development projects mostly funded by international organizations including IAEA, Vienna, Austria; Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok; United Nations; Organization for Islamic Cooperation; King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Zafar has worked at national and international level in well-reputed universities and scientific organizations. He has chaired for various technical committee including, curriculum development, ABET and NCEAC accreditation, faculty and university academic boards, research committees, technical committees for organizing international conferences. Dr. Zafar was Chief Organizer of the most recent event “All Pakistan DICE-Information and Enabling Technologies (IET) Innovation Event 2016” which was held at COMSATS, Sahiwal, in collaboration with DICE Foundation, USA.
Dr. Zafar taught the course “Advanced Algorithms Analysis and Design” at graduate level which was recorded by Virtual University, Pakistan in 2007. It is important to mention that this course is one of the highly accessed/viewed internationally. Link of the course is given below:
